Marvel Not At This: Good Choices = Heaven, Evil Choices = Hell

Webster’s dictionary defines the word “marvel” as: to become filled with surprise, wonder, or amazed curiosity; to feel astonishment or perplexity at or about. Jesus used this word when he said the following: Marvel NOT at this: for the hour is coming, in the which ALL that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have DONE GOOD, unto the resurrection of LIFE; and they that have DONE EVIL, unto the resurrection of DAMNATION” (John 5:2-29).

Did you see it?  Jesus said “Marvel NOT at the following fact!”  In other words, don’t be surprised by it.  Don’t wonder about it.  Don’t be astonished or perplexed about it.  It’s a truth that should resonate in the deepest part of your spirit … There is a God, you will be judged by Him, and if you made a willful choice to DO GOOD (obey His 10 Love Commandments) you will go to heaven, but if you made a willful choice to DO EVIL (disobey His 10 Love Commandments) you will go to hell.  None of this should make you marvel!

But I challenge you, say this fact to a modern day churchgoer and watch their reaction.  You will very likely hear them angrily retort … “We’re not saved by works!”  Huh?  What do they mean by that?  Who taught them to lash out like that to the above truth?  Why does the simple truth of Jesus’ words above now seem to offend them?

Isn’t that amazing?  It’s as if Jesus KNEW last days Christianity would arise, filled with twisted demonic doctrines about salvation, trying to diminish and refute God’s simple truth above (those “doing good” go to heaven and those “doing evil” go to hell) and thus he prefaced that truth with these four little words – “Marvel NOT at this”.  Now there’s something to marvel about!

  2. Then how did the thief on the cross get to heaven... He could not come down to do any good... Jesus told him He would see him in heaven that very same day and what about ... saved by faith not of works lest any many should boast... I am not saying it is ok for sinning it up but we all sin and fall short that is why Jesus died on the cross because He knew we could not not sin... And no one can snatch us out of His hands .. once we are saved. We at the moment of salvation become perfect righteousness & justice in God's eyes... I dare say sir ... you cannot explain those scriptures away when you look at them from the Koine Greek... You are in my prayers... Judging is sin, maligning is sin, gossip is sin, lying is sin, there are man;y many sins... I have rebound & get in fellowship all day long... Expecially in this world with so much evil surrounding us... Thank God for Christ's work on the cross ... I would not dare take one thing away from what He did for all of us on the cross, nor would I make myself a god and say I can do it better than Him. In Christ, Lynda

    1. See how Jesus' words just offended you, ma'am? You're the type I was talking about in the 3rd paragraph above. In other words, if Jesus would be here on Earth today, standing right in front of you, and say, "Lynda, marvel not at this, the hour is coming ... (the verse above)" would you respond with you comment above? Because that's what you just did!

But to respond to all your other questions, concerning what Jesus had to DO so we might have a chance at eternal life, please visit the 10LoveCommandments.com website, and visit the Salvation Equation page.

  3. Amen brother! This message is truth! It's too bad most out there can't just take the simple words of Jesus at face value for what they are; the simple truth of salvation. Instead they have twisted his message in this modern satanic game of Twister! We surely know who's behind this all, but they certainly don't and need much prayer! Sadly most of you are just byproducts of this false doctrine, unaware and blindly putting your faith in it. We will be praying for you all so the Lord can open your eyes to the original truth/Gospel just like he did ours. But you must be open minded and willing to consider the fact that you may be wrong and not stubborn about it. Please follow Gabriel's advice and check out 10lovecommandments.com Just give it a chance before judging the message, because it is God's message and you will offend him! May the Lord bless you all with his wisdom that can only come from above! Love you all

    1. I was watching a Gospel of Matthew movie tonight, and loved its translation of John the Baptists words to the Church preachers of his day (Pharisees & Sadducees) who came out to see him ... "Vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come, BRING FORTH FRUIT IN KEEPING WITH REPENTANCE!!! ... "

Wow, how revealing are those words about repentance? JTB knew EXACLTY What a person MUST DO to go to heaven, for he knew "repentance" was a CONTINUAL ACT, proved ONLY by someone continually living by God 10 love Commandments. And he knew the Preachers of his day WERE NOT living by them. WOW!

And then later, Jesus came along, and said, "Unless your righteousness EXCEEDS the righteouness of the Pharisees you will NOT enter into the kingdom of heaven!"

WOAHHHHHHH .... In other words, Jesus was saying, the Preachers of his day, were NOT going to heaven! Stunning!!!

Well, here's a news flash people, TODAY is JUST LIKE Jesus' day! Many, many, many preachers today are exactly like the Pharisees & Sadducees of Jesus' day, totally confused about salvation (how God wants them to live to please Him).

This is no small issue, folks! It is VERY POSSIBLE that you could be going to church, thinking you're on your way to heaven (because of this or that) and yet be living a lifestyle that is leading you to hell.

This is the reason for the 10LoveCommandments.com website. Please, please, please people, go there and read through EACH Love commandment, starting at number #1, and learn the FULL truth about how God wants you to live, so that you at least have a chance to "bring forth fruit, in keeping with repentance" and obtain eternal life.

  4. Wow, that song is dead accurate, dead-on (no pun intended)! What a message to mankind! Thanks for sharing it with us all. Boy, I sure do hope that George took this message/warning seriously before his last breath, learning from life's lessons, listening to the voices telling him to do good, repenting! Hope he's now in the Kingdom of heaven enjoying his reward for obedience to the 10 Love Commandments. If not that would be very sad and hypocritical! On the last day there will be countless sad stories unfortunately, let's not be one of them folks! Let's continue to "work out our salvation with fear and trembling"

  5. Maybe I was misunderstood. I do believe in the 10 commandments. I've studied the Bible for over 40-yrs from Pastors who know the original languages of the Bible, look at the historical background of what the words meant when they were written via the tense, mood & voice of each word, taking a 1st mention of the word in the Bible & following it all the way through, looking at the Bible from a dispensational point of view, Icegogically, Categorically & Exegesis. I do not know any other way to get more at the truth of the Word of God than that. And praying not to be deceived all my life. Having a brother who is my pastor now and knowing his life style, I am confident God the H.S. is in the teaching of His Word. Thank you for your input and remember what the New Testament tells us. "The greatest of these is Love" Speaking of the commandments. There are lieterally 1000's of commandments in the N.T. according to the Koine Greek. We all inherited an old sin nature through Adams 1st sin and that was the purpose of Christ coming to the cross & bearing the sins of the world. There are 3 types of sins: thinking/verbal/overt and that is why we are given 1 John 1:9 so we can walk in fellowship with God. When we study on a daily basis, the easier it is to realize sin almost immediately and get back on track w/ God by the mere confession & thanksgiving of the forgiveness of that sin. in faith alone in Christ's work alone and He is glorified, not of works lest any man should boast. I am not condoning living a sinful. God said go and commit that sin no more. God knew we needed a Savior and His Son was the only one qualified to be that Savior, there is nothing we can do but believe in faith. I yearn for His return and the Rapture of the Church and am of pre-tribulation belief after many years of study. I am waiting patiently for that day or the day that God brings me home to Heaven thru death, whichever comes 1st. God's plan is Perfect and God is Perfect. The individual qualities or characteristics that are intrinsic to the essence of God. Sovereignty, righteousness, justice, love, eternal life, omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence, immutability and veracity. Another thing to remember is that the Law of the Old Testament was a picture of who & what Christ was and what He would do when He came to this earth. He is the only One qualified to fulfill that Law and He did that during His life walk on earth. If you study the Laws & Rituals they are all a picture of who Christ would be and when He came He fulfilled it all right down to the nth degree perfectly and the reason being so that when He did come they would recognize Him, but many did not. Did you know if you take the 2 geneologies of Christ (paternal & maternal), & the men who built the walls around jerusalem and look up the meaning to their names... It gives us a picture of Christ's work. The temple and the tribes of Israel and how they were set up around the temple, from an airial veiw give us a picture of the cross. So many fascinating things to learn from God's Word the Bible and after over 40's years I'm still learning new things each and every day. This is not an argument but a testimony of what God has given to me in my life which is far more valuable than any earthly thing. His Word, Truth, Peace & Love! I come from a ministry who does not charge for thier materials and we are not a big ministry... as we live in a mostly Catholic area, but God allows our ministry to help others throughout the world and pay the bills and that in itself is a miracle. Freely given freely you should receive. Love in Christ to all, Lynda

    1. Hi Lynda,

I like you and Gabriel's conversation so much that I made an entire article about your first comment. You can see it right here.

Please take note that I am not questioning your being a true Christian or anything of that nature, instead I just want to point out that introducing the verse "We are saved by faith, not of works" in cases like this is like barking at the wrong tree, because nobody is saying something to the contrary. Gabriel just quoted the Lord. As I say in my article, the topic of judgment is broader than the topic of being saved (how about being damned?), and "works" in Galatians 2:16 can be vague if you don't specify what it means.

I suppose we're just confused sometimes because St. Paul was referring to a different idea when he talked about being saved, good works and faith in Galatians, from the idea that the Lord was trying to say about judgment and what we have done in life in John 5:29. The arguments do not exactly meet on a common ground.

So while you don't take credit for being saved, I would say Gabriel doesn't too. Only God saves. And while Gabriel tries to obey the Lord's commandments with all his heart, I would say you do too, from what I can see. There's probably no real argument here, only a confusion on wording and concepts that don't really meet at a certain point.

      God bless you, sister.

  6. I read your article and do agree... in that we all go before the Judgment Seat of Christ and I took what Gabriel said (my mistake - I think) as the way to salvation is through following the 10 Commandments not by faith alone in Christ alone. I realize that all our works done in the flesh will be burnt up like wood hay and stubble but the works we do while in fellowship w/ God after rebounding or recognizing our sins to God receive reward. We are all brother's and sister's in Christ at the moment of salvation as the Bride of Christ and do not think arguing the word of God helps in any situation... I just wanted people to know that Salvation is through faith in Christ's redemptive work on the cross... because I did not get that from his message at all... This being my 1st time to this blog do not know of any of Gabriel's other writings. So my sincere apologies and I really did not understand what Gabrielle was talking about when he responded to my post... your post Chris helped me understand what he was talking about much better. God Bless

    1. Bless you sister Lynda and welcome to this wonderful blog! I was just wondering, have you read Gabriel's book? Undeniable Biblical Proof? If not, I would strongly recommend that you do, so you could fully understand the message he is getting out to the world. I know it all sounds strange, new and radical but please give it a chance and don't simply dismiss it and judge it like some do. I was the same way before I stumbled on this message. It was an answer to prayer for all the years of confusion and struggle. The message was a totally new way of looking at things and I didn't agree with everything at first but after much research, I found out that Gabriel's message was correct! I truly believe that this message is from our Lord in these last days, and He has used his humble servant to pass on this message to the world, preparing as many souls as possible for his second coming which is around the corner! Trust me sister, this book has changed my life (along with many other) and helped me to understand the Bible to it's fullest! Forget man-made Theology and philosophy as this is all man's attempt to understand God. But what if God sent down HIS wisdom to help us interpret the book that HE wrote? Please read it so you can at least say that you did. A lot are judging it before the read!

Also, it is a free read as you can download it and read the pdf on your smartphone, ereader or computer! God bless you sister!

    2. You were right about me, Lynda ... you will NEVER hear me say what a person MUST DO to obtain eternal life is "believe in what Jesus Christ did on the cross". Never, ever, will you hear me teach this lie. This is probably THE BIGGEST lie Satan has sold in today's church world.

The verses in the Bible that prove this doctrine is a lie are WAY TOO NUMEROUS to mention here, but I'll give you one: "And being made perfect, he (Jesus) became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that OBEY HIM" (Hebrews 5:9).

And WHAT are we to OBEY? Here's the key, EVERYTHING Jesus taught mankind to DO and NOT to DO is based on keeping the 10 Love Commandments. This is KEY to understanding what it means to "Believe in Jesus".

So are you ready for it? Here it comes. You should repeat this next sentence 100 times until its Truth sinks in ... To "believe in Jesus" does NOT mean to "believe in what he did" it means to "believe in what he taught" proved ONLY by our obedience to his teachings, which by default then means to "believe in Jesus" means to "Keep the (10 Love) Commandments".

And now you can perfectly understand why Jesus replied to the man's question "Teacher, what MUST I DO to obtain eternal life?" with "IF you want to enter into life, keep the (10 Love) Commandments" (Matthew 19:17). Do you see? Saying this was exactly the same as Jesus saying "believe in me".

Lynda, I am well versed in today's church doctrine, for I sat in many churches as a child and young adult. And their doctrine just didn't add up! But God revealed the FULL TRUTH of His Word to me in AD 2007, and I pray you will take the time to read it and watch it all for free online. It would be WELL worth your time.
