Soon, God Will Rest, Too!

“Having to labor (or work)” was one of the consequences of Adam & Eve’s sin against God in the Garden of Eden, and since the resulting effects of sin have been passed down to all mankind, we ALL currently labor and struggle under sin’s curse on this Earth.  Now, the “length of time” mankind would have to “labor” was prophesied by God from Creation in the fact that God labored for 6 days to make the world, followed by a day of rest … thus, mankind would labor under sin’s curse for 6 Days (6,000 trips around the sun), followed by a day of rest from sin’s labor (1,000 trips around the sun).

Throughout time, many of God’s prophets have proclaimed this wonderful truth.  In 1776, Edward Gibbon summarized their words with these words: “The ancient and popular doctrine of the Millennium (1,000 years of rest) was intimately connected with the Second Coming of Christ.  As the works of the Creation had been finished in six days, their duration in their present state, according to a tradition which was attributed to the prophet Elijah, was fixed to six thousand years.  By the same analogy it was inferred that this long period of labor and contention would be succeeded by a joyful Sabbath of a thousand years: and that Christ with the triumphant band of the saints and the elect who had escaped death, or who had been miraculously revived, would reign upon Earth till the time appointed for the last and general resurrection.”

Consequently, we understand the 7 Day Creation story was clearly prophetic about MANKIND’S future (we will “work” 6 days, and then rest on the 7th day).  But today I want to make clear something marvelous I never quite did before … the 7 Day Creation story was/is also prophetic about GOD’S future!!!  For He too would/will work 6 Days (6,000 years) and rest on the 7th Day (1,000 years)!  What I mean is this; God has been actively “working” for the past almost 6,000 years, but He TOO will soon rest from His work!  Jesus said, “My Father worketh hitherto, and I work” (John 5:17), and the Psalmist wrote: “He that keepeth thee will not slumber, Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Pslams 121: 3-4).

What has God been doing?  In other words, what is His work?  He is actively and passionately trying to get us to live righteously!  He wants us to DO good!  He’s trying to lead us ALL to the path of repentance, for He loves us and wants us to be with Him in peace forever!  Peter wrote: The Lord is not slack concerning His promise … but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9).  Yes, day and night, 24-7, 365.25 days a year, all over this globe God is working to get us to follow His ways of love, so that we might obtain eternal life!  But soon (very soon!) God too is going to rest from His labor, just as His 7 Day Creation story always foretold.  Will you be resting with Him on the 7th day (Sabbath)?

Peaceful Sabbath,

Gabriel

  1. Hi Gabriel,

I accepted Jesus as my Saviour and God my Father and the Holy Ghost. Was baptized in 1985. I want only to serve Him who created Heaven and earth. I lost friends, lost my son, because they don't believe. My son says it straight to me that it is a matter of control. I know it is not, for I gave my heart and soul willingly to God, and He did not force me to give my life to Him, and without a doubt that I want to be with Him the day He comes and take His children to Him.

I pray that God will help my son and husband to see that there is a God. There is Heaven and hell. As it is now, they wont see heaven. I am not a judge towards them, but I know what the Word of God says to me. I am trying so hard to show them what the Love of God is, and what it is to worship a one True God.

There were two occations that when I prayed, asking the Lord to sent someone to talk to them, that my husband saw someone with him just for a second or 2 and then nothing. What could that be? (He was a satanist many years ago)

For a long time now, about a year now, I wanted to keep the Sabbath, and was through the Holy Spirit that kept on telling me it the correct thing to do. The church that has the most beautiful services is on a Sunday, what do I do? Please help me?

    Please e-mail me at shsanet@gmail.com.

Thank you for being a prophet of God, by obeying His Word.

The lie that you are telling about in the world today, what is that lie? I want to know for I want to obey God absolutely.

    Thank you and God Bless

  2. CAN MEN, TODAY, BE SAVED LIKE ENOCH?

Did you ever notice that the hydrophobic believers in Jesus want to be saved like the thief on the cross? Their argument is the thief was not baptized in water, and was still saved. Thief proponents fail to mention that the thief was also saved without being born of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit of promise had not been given at that time. So the logical conclusion would be that men, today, can be saved without being born of water and the Spirit. (John 3:5 Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.")

The question is why do men, today, not petition to be saved like Enoch?

Genesis 5:24 Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

1.Enoch did not believe Jesus was the Son of God. Was Enoch saved? YES.
    2. Enoch did not confess that God raised Jesus from the dead. Was Enoch saved? YES.
    3. Enoch was not baptized in water. He was not immersed for the forgiveness of sins. Was Enoch saved? YES.
    4. Enoch did not believe that Jesus shed His blood on the cross so he could have his sins washed away. Was Enoch saved? YES.
    5. Was Enoch born of the Spirit? No. The Holy Spirit of promise was not given until the Day of Pentecost. Was Enoch saved? YES.

    WAS ENOCH SAVED? YES.

Can men, today, be saved like Enoch? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Men, today, can only be saved by meeting the terms for pardon under the New Covenant; also know as the New Testament, the New Will, the New Agreement, the New Promise.

    THE THIEF ON THE CROSS

Luke 23:39-43...And He said to him, :Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."

    1. The thief believed Jesus was the Christ. Was the thief saved?YES.
    2. The thief repented. (He turn from sin and turned toward God). Was the thief saved? YES.
    3. The thief did not confess that God had raised Jesus from the dead. Was the thief saved? YES.
    4. The thief was not immersed in water for the forgiveness of his sins. Was the thief saved? YES.
    5. The thief was not born of the Spirit? The thief did not receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Was the thief saved? YES.

    WAS THE THIEF SAVED? YES.

Can men, today, be saved like the thief on the cross?ABSOLUTELY NOT. Men, today, can only be saved by meeting the terms of pardon under the New Covenant.

The New Covenant came into effect after the death of Jesus, on the Day of Pentecost.

Hebrews 9:16-17 For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. 17 For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives.

MEN,TODAY, CANNOT BE SAVED LIKE ENOCH NOR SAVED LIKE THE THIEF ON THE CROSS. ENOCH AND THE THIEF WERE NOT SAVED UNDER THE NEW COVENANT.

Note: The book of Acts contains several conversions that took place under the New Covenant. There is no record of anyone saying.
    A. I do not have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
    B. I do not have to be born of water and the Spirit.
    C. I do not have to confess that Jesus was resurrected from the grave by God in order to be saved.
    D. I do not have to be immersed in water in order to be saved.
    E. I do not have to repent, (Turn from sin and turn to God), in order to be saved.

IN ORDER TO BE SAVED UNDER THE NEW COVENANT; WHICH STARTED ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST. YOU NEED TO MEET THE TERMS FOR PARDON.

    FAITH: John 3:16
    REPENTANCE: Acts 2:38
    CONFESSION: Romans 10:9-10
    BAPTISM: Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21, Mark 16:16

YOU CANNOT BE SAVED LIKE ENOCH!
