Pride Goes Before Destruction

There is a verse in the Bible most people know well, yet I’m not sure if they FULLY comprehend the weight (or Truth) behind the words: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18).  Usually, when hearing this saying, people relate it to a specific happenstance in one’s life, like someone being all puffed up that they are the best at something, but then they lose.  Oh, but friend, its truth is SO MUCH MORE than that!

In January of this year I wrote a blog entitled “What is the Opposite of Love?”  In it, I explain God’s moral Law for us (the 10 Commandments) is the deeds or works of love, and to transgress or to break God’s Law is known as sin.  Therefore, sin is really just any non-loving thought, word, or deed.  But here’s the kicker … the root motive (or desire) fueling a person to sin (not love) is their own pride (selfishness).  And thus, pride and love are polar opposites!

But now, if we think about this some more, we realize that only people who repent (or turn from) willful sin (10LC disobedience) will receive Christ’s forgiveness for sins in the end and obtain eternal life.  Those who do not, meaning those who continue to willfully sin (disobey God’s 10LC), are the ones who will be cast down into the Lake of Fire on Judgment Day.  But again, what is the REAL REASON a person does not want to repent of sin?  Their pride!!!

So, do you see it?  Do you see now the FULL, POWERFUL, ETERNAL TRUTH behind the above Bible verse “pride goes before destruction”?  Speaking of Judgment Day, God says it like this in His Word: “I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will LAY LOW the haughtiness of the terrible” (Isaiah 13:11).  Yes, truly, pride goes before a fall!  And the world’s day of reckoning is only about 15 years away!

New Children’s 10 Love Commandments Videos

Those who have read the book I wrote now understand the 40 year “wilderness” portion of the Israelite’s story of “bondage in Egypt” to “rest in the Promise Land” was the part God created to reveal everything WE MUST DO to obtain eternal life (enter the Promise Land).  The divine miracles in Egypt and at the Red Sea were the part God created to prophesy what JESUS HAD TO DO for us – namely, destroy the enemy and his power of death over us – so we even had a chance to get to the Promise Land (obtain eternal life).  I am convinced that only after a person acquires a FULL understanding of what God was communicating through this Old Testament story can they TRULY understand God’s Word.  The sad fact is … almost NO ONE today (preachers included) understands this story!

This is why today we have great deception taking place in Churchianity.  Damnable doctrines, concocted by demons, are voiced from behind pulpits all across this spinning globe each week.  Today’s preachers are confused.  They know NOT how to dispense the simple truth of God’s Word!  They ALL desperately need – and I say this without a trace of self-glory, but in the sincerest of concern for the eternal welfare of the world’s populace – to read the book I wrote “Undeniable Biblical Proof Jesus Christ Will Return To Planet Earth Exactly 2,000 Years After The Year of His Death”.  If they would, I firmly believe there would be a worldwide revival!

The “wilderness” portion of the Israelite’s story reveals OUR DUTY in obtaining eternal life (making it into the Promise Land) is a life-long journey.  It's the “narrow way” few take.  It's the “good fight” most lose.  And yet, it's the “whole duty of man”!  What is the journey?  It’s love! It’s for us to “willingly strive to live by God’s 10 Laws of Love” known the world over as God’s 10 Commandments.  This is why Jesus said: “If thou want to enter into life, keep the (10 love) commandments” (Matthew 19:17).

Think Hellfire Isn’t Real? Think Again!

As God was delivering His message to me from AD 2006 to 2008 – the one I’ve been commanded to tell the world! – He performed some incredible miracles along the way.  And although I didn’t know it at the time, these things were being done by Him so that I would have them to include in a powerful book He would later have me write.  The miracles enhance His message through me and confirm its validity.  I’d like to revisit one of these miracles today.

On pages 369 – 372 of my book, I recount the miraculous day back in 2007 when God spoke to me at my workplace about “fearing Him”.  Basically, God said this, “Gabriel, do you know why people continue on in willful sin?  It’s because they don’t truly fear me!  They have no concept or reality of the horrifyingly punishing fire of hell!  And to prove my point, if you ignited a massive bonfire on Earth and told people they will be held for 15 minutes with their feet 5 inches from the roaring flames when they sin, how much sin do you think would continue? Not much, for people’s hearts would be filled with fear of the punishment they would receive! THIS is the proper ‘fear of me’ that’s missing in men’s hearts today, Gabriel!  THIS is the kind of fear that would have them ‘working out their salvation with fear and trembling’ and win them eternal life.

Well, later that day, when I got home from work, I relayed God’s message to a friend of mine over the phone.  But when I got to the part about the bonfire, I personalized it by saying, “If I built a big bonfire in MY front yard …”  Then, less than an hour later, my phone began ringing, and it was my friend again.  She said excitedly, “Look out your front door!”  When I opened my door I was shocked beyond all measure!  There was a car across the street completely engulfed in flames!  The flames were leaping 30 feet into the air!  It was a HUGE bonfire, right in front of my house!  Stunning!

As an update, I’ve now lived almost 14 years in this same apartment (AD 2000 – 2013) and that’s the ONLY fire I have ever witnessed around here!  What are the chances the ONLY day God spoke harshly and dramatically to me about hellfire would be the SAME day a fire would happen outside my house?  I’ll let you ponder that!  Hell is not a popular subject today. Many people are offended by it.  But I was not sent to be politically correct.  I was not sent to make sure I don’t offend you!  I was sent to speak the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God.  Do you think hellfire isn’t real?  You better think again!

There REMAINETH a Rest (Sabbath) to God’s People

The truth that God’s 7 Day Creation story represents His master TIME plan for mankind on Earth was (and still is to most!) one of God’s greatest secrets in the Bible.  Yet, in story after story and time after time, God continually built His case for this truth in His Word.  It is a jaw-dropping revelation, and it is one of the main subjects of my book “Undeniable Biblical Proof Jesus Christ Will Return To Planet Earth Exactly 2,000 Years After The Year Of His Death”.  But today, allow me to point out the passage of Scripture God inspired to be written that comes CLOSEST to just outright spilling the beans of His incredible secret.

The words are written in the book of Hebrews: “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it … For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, and God did rest the seventh day from all his works … There remaineth therefore a rest (Sabbath) to the people of God … Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest” (Hebrews 4:1-11).

Do you understand what God is saying through those words?  He’s flat out saying the reason He included a restful 7^th Day Sabbath in His Creation story was for it to be a prophetic picture of the rest the believers will enjoy during the seventh period of time!  This is the restful, peaceful, Earthly, 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ and all His resurrected saints spoken of in The Revelation chapter 20.  Amazing, isn’t it?

Furthermore, the underlined word “rest” in the above passage is from the original Greek word “sabbatismos” meaning: Sabbath-rest, Sabbath observance.  In other words, with one broad sweeping verse in the New Testament, God confirmed “Sabbath observance” still REMAINS for God’s people, and that each week they keep it, it is a loving picture of the soon coming fulfillment of the 7^th Day Sabbath in His glorious 7 Day (7,000 solar year) Master Time Plan.  Hallelujah!
