Are You Ignorant?

When you ignore something you “willingly refuse to take notice of it.”  This, in turn, keeps you unlearned (in the dark) about the issue; which, in turn, makes you an ignorant person.   Peter forewarned us: “But, beloved, be NOT ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” (II Peter 3:8).

If you’ve been a church goer in the past, you’ve probably heard the interpretation that this verse means “time is irrelevant, or meaningless, to God.”  You know, a “day is like a thousand years to Him, or a million years, or whatever.  God lives outside of time, so it’s of no consequence to Him.”  Have you heard this argument before?  I have!

Here’s the problem with it though … how can one be ignorant of a meaningless issue?   There’s nothing to be ignorant of, it’s already an irrelevant topic.   So Peter’s words would be stupid in this regard.  But on the other hand, if Peter REALLY meant “a day is as a 1,000 years to God” referring to God’s 7 Days used in the Creation story as each prophesying of a coming 1,000 year period on Earth, oh, that’s a WHOLE DIFFERENT THING then!  THAT IS a specific truth you truly can ignore, or willingly refuse to take notice of!

Thankfully, in these very last of days, God has finished revealing the amazing prophetic truths behind His 7 Day Creation story.  And yes, without a doubt, each Creation day truly did prophesy of a coming 1,000 year period!  For to God “a day truly is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day.”  God really did “declare the time of the end from the beginning” (Isaiah 46:10) as He said.  And Jesus really will return at the end of the 6^th day, or Earth’s 6,000 year!  And this time is upon us!  The only question is … are you ignorant?
