My Encounter with God on Chickies Rock

In the Introduction of my book, I write briefly of a miraculous encounter I had at the age of 12 back in 1983:

… when I was 12 years old, my father noticed an ad in the local newspaper about a traveling prophet who was coming to a church in a nearby town. Intrigued, dad decided our family should go. Now we had never stepped foot in the church and did not know anyone there, but near the end of the prophet’s preaching, he walked back the central aisle, pointed at me and said, “Stand up, son.  Do you know God gave you your name?  For your name is Gabriel!  And God’s placed the creativity of 4 men inside of you.  Son, you will be like John the Baptist in the last days preparing the people to meet the Lord, for God is going to place you in a position one day to be able to influence multitudes of people.”  I sat back down in my pew in a state of bewilderment.  I was still wondering how the prophet knew my name!  It has been 25 years since that night and I have never forgotten the words that prophet spoke over my life.

Today, I want to make mention of a few more very cool details about this amazing story that I didn’t in the book.  First, the location of this church was on the top of a mountain known locally as Chickies Rock.  There’s even a trail up there where you can walk to see out over the Susquehanna River (See video below).  How many stories in the Bible can you recall where God desired to meet with prophets on mountain tops?  Well, yes, this prophetic scene in my life happened on the top of a mountain!

Secondly, the message the traveling prophet was speaking that night way back in 1983 was the ancient held theory that God’s 7 Day Creation story mirrored a complete and total 7,000 year master plan God had for this Earth (i.e. each creation day represented a 1,000 year period).  In other words, the prophet who spoke those words over me that night believed the Earth was young (not even 6,000 years old!) and that when year 6,000 arrived Jesus Christ would return, bringing in the final, restful, millennial (1,000 year) Sabbath day reign, where all the resurrected righteous will live in peace and harmony with God on Earth.

Folks, I had NO IDEA that this too would one day be MY MESSAGE!!!  And that God would reveal to me MANY MORE AMAZING THINGS about His prophetic 7 Day Creation story and other stories in the Bible that the traveling prophet did not know!!!  But without a doubt, that man that night was sent by God!  His words were truth and so are mine!  I tell you these things, not so you would marvel about me, but ONLY so that you would BELIEVE in the message God has given me to speak on His behalf.  So do you?  Jesus Christ is going to return to this planet in about 15 years!  GET READY!!!!!!!

Holy Sabbath,

Gabriel

  1. How the days go by! It feels like it wasn't too long ago when I was counting with you and the magic number was 17.

Then around 7 years ago I remember I was on a rooftop with some of my friends and we were having a discussion that maybe Jesus will come back in 2030, which was about 24 years from then. Now there's only 15 left, and if there's going to be a 7-year tribulation, that will begin in 8 very short years. Is that what's going to happen? Will it be 7 years or 3 1/2?

    1. Hi Chris. Happy Sabbath to ya! Way too much to get into here, but yes, I am of the opinion that the period known as the GREAT Tribulation (that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24) will be the final 3.5 years (42 months) of the first 6,000 years God gave mankind on Earth, starting most likely in early 2025!

But yes, I also believe the world will see the Antichrist come onto the scene in late 2021 in some powerful political position, ushering in the final 7 years. In fact, his "mark" could already begin being used in isolated areas of the Earth in 2021, already closing the Ark door (sealing some people's doom) for all eternity 7 years before the end arrives!

  2. Wow, thanks for sharing those details. I did not know that, interesting... what the travelling prophet "happened" to be preaching that night! Really cool stuff! Yes my brothers, the time is creeping up fast on us. We have lots of work to do to prepare others for the Lord's return, that great and terrible day!

Oh, by the way, I just noticed something else, your inspiration for naming this blog the name that you did... What the prophet mentioned to you back in 83' "preparing(Gabriel)the people to meet the Lord". I thought that was really cool! I have always liked that title that you picked, and now I know where it originated! Praise the Lord!!!!!

    1. Hi Rams! Yes, that was the prophet's message that night. I believe he was probably preaching that same message wherever he found a church to "book" him in a new town. One thing I know, he was DEFINITELY sent by God to do what he was doing, and was only joining a long line of other true prophets of God throughout the last 2,000 years who proclaimed God's 7 Creation Day (7000 year) plan. Pretty cool, stuff!

Also, if you click the blog's image at the top, you can see a bigger image of Chickies Rock. The actual rocks you see in the picture are where the people in the video are standing, looking out over the river. There is a road that goes right up over the mountain from left to right (the way you're looking at the picture) and some side roads that run off that road up on the mountain top. The church was located up there, at the highest point in the picture (to the right of the rocks in the picture).

I'll post a Google maps link later of the church address, so people can zoom in and back on the exact location. : ))

  3. Alright, ya'll, here's a link to a global map of the church I was in at 12 yrs old, when the prophet called me out. Zoom in and way back to get a good feel of where it was located in the world ...
